Ricardo Carranza (March 4, 1953) is painter, writer, poet and architect. His artworks explore the relationship between abstract painting expression and poetry. Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Ricardo Carranza had a professional career as an architect. MA in Architecture and Urban Planning at São Paulo University, he also was a professor of Architecture and History of Art. Son of naify award-winning artist José Carranza, Ricardo Carranza started his artistic and poetic work in adolescence. He lives and works in São Paulo.
